In this troublesome and conflict-ridden world, many people are praying for a miracle. These people hope for something out of the ordinary – a form of salvation from all of the hurt and disappointment that ravages our country and even the entire planet. Out of all of the symbols for hope in the world, one stands tall – Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Back in 2001, a terrorist attack on the USA shocked the whole world. The bombing of the World Trade Center became one of the primary faces of terrorism, mainly because it happened to a supposedly secure super power. The United States of America is considered one of the most powerful nations in the entire world. The overwhelming number of casualties, over 2,500 people dead and 6,000 injured, still haunts America to this day. The attack was carried out by the Al-Qaeda terrorist group.
Fast forward to 2017, and the painful memory brought by the dark event continues to loom over the whole country, most especially for the loved ones of those who were hurt and killed in the terrible attack. Annually, the families of those who died in the 9/11 attack continue to hold a vigil in honor of their lost loved ones.
During last year’s commemoration, an unexpected sighting of an image resembling Jesus Christ appeared in one of the photos taken.
Freelance photographer Rich McCormack took the following photos at a waterfront in Hoboken during a festival that was part of the 9/11 commemoration and memorial rites. He has been documenting the event for several years but this was the first time that he saw something like this.
The image of Jesus Christ appeared on top of a light beam projected towards the sky. This beam of light served as a symbol of remembrance for the lives lost in the 9/11 attack.
